Later, he escapes from the U-Boat to the sea, where he discovers a vast body of land, previously submersed on the Pacific Ocean floor, recently ripped from it trough some geological upheaval, and baring evidence that a highly intelligent, monstrous, race shares dominion of the Earth with humanity, and for the moment exorcising it’s rule only on the ocean floor. But how long will these beings be content only ruling the oceans?
